Wearing a Bear

"I only wanted to come here because I dreamed about this place. I’ll tell you the second dream of the two I had, even though they are actually the same. It starts with me being here. It is neither day nor night—it’s a kind of half-night. But it looks exactly the same. Only the light is different. And I am afraid. Of all the people who are there, you are standing over there. You are in both dreams. And you are afraid, too. I get even more scared when I see how much fear you have."

The project "Wearing a Bear" is a spatial and temporal performance that emerged from an exploration of the formats of the workshop and the curiosity cabinet. It engages with the phenomenon of violence. At the same time, it is both a sound installation and a performance—where human bodies, stage objects, sounds, and smells interact in parallel.
